Greetings for 2018 !

Happy Green Spirulina Smoothies for you all this morning to help fight off any New Years hangovers. (my Recovery Green Smoothie Recipe is at the bottom). I actually wasn’t planning on writing a Blog this morning, but inevitably at this time of year, when I’m dealing with Clients, the subject of New Years Resolutions always comes up.

So this is just a quick little note to tell you, what I tell all my Clients about New Years Resolutions. I’m not really a great fan of New Years Resolutions, mainly because so few people tend to keep them. I’ve heard it said that a New Years Resolution is just a To Do list for the first week of January! lol Why is it that Gyms are packed to the rafters in January and almost empty in March? January is New Year, New Me time! March is when reality has set in.

Now, I’m certainly not against the concept of making a new start, just the pointlessness of setting a New Years Resolution that you’re not going to keep. Of course, this year is different, it always is, everyone intends to keep their Resolutions, but how many actually do?

So, this year, I would like to make a suggestion. Set a New Years Resolution to have a year filled with New Beginning Resolutions. So many people use the start of a new year to say, New Year, New Me. But in reality, ANY day can be the start of the new you. But people tend to carry around all this carry over baggage from everything that has happened and the dawn of a new year is the only time they tend to give themselves permission to wipe the slate clean and start afresh. But it never seems to last and before you know it, they’re back with all their baggage again.

But there’s no reason you can’t take this fresh approach at any given point. Start where you are, to start afresh and start afresh often. Make a habit to make it a habit. As the name implies, a New Beginning Resolution is a new beginning where you wipe the slate clean of everything that has gone before and commit yourself to an all new era of the new you.

You can set a New Beginning Resolution every month or even every week. The point is to do it regularly, make a habit of it, and most importantly, stick to doing it, and stick to following through. Let me give you an example. Say you set a New Beginning Resolution each and every month. Every month you start with a fresh slate. You forget everything that has gone before and you approach it with a new sense of energy and enthusiasm, believing that anything truly is possible. You then set your Goal for the month. Then for that whole month, you focus on just that Goal, working towards it, never quitting.

At the end of the month, you evaluate how you went and then set your Goal for the next month. Then you make a New Beginning Resolution. Forget about New Years Resolutions, and instead make a New Years Resolution today to set a New Beginning Resolution every week or ever month and I promise you that 2018 will be the most AWESOME year that you have ever had!
